Domain Controller

Domain Controller

Complex IT infrastructure networks with domain controllers are used in many areas of industrial and manufacturing facilities.

A domain controller is a server used to manage central computers or users. It is widely used in large networks in which clients have to be managed or administered from a central computer and saves a lot of time and effort.

A domain is the top-level authentication instance in a Microsoft domain network. Any user can log on to any computer that is a member of the domain. User profile, settings and access rights are loaded by the domain controller.

The connected clients and the associated security settings can be managed centrally by the domain controller.
