Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) are separate solutions but when integrated offer an excellent defense to any OT environment.

The IDS’s ability to

  • Detect new devices (unauthorized access)
  • Perform data traffic analysis (deep packet inspection)
  • Observe Logical Data Transactions (as opposed to physical)


    • When coupled with a “one click” denial of service by the IPS is perhaps the epitome of a CyberSecurity.
